Invitation to Roundtable
Digital Pomegranate together with the “Distrikt Foundation for Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship” is inviting you to a round table discussion on the topic “How to be successful in the Chinese market from Armenia”.
The roundtable aims at creating the top 10 tasks to promote the export of value-added products from Armenia to China and getting more Chinese tourists in Armenia using WeChat marketing and Mini Programs.
The working language is English.

Why China? 11:00 – 11:30
Gain a better understanding of why China is important to Armenia and why it should be an important part of your business. You most likely have read about China’s Belt and Road Initiative, but you will gain a deeper understanding of how it is a path to sell to China. Finally, we will introduce the new Digital Silk Road Centre in Gyumri Armenia, and how it can help you to understand online tools to enter the Chinese market.

China has become a fully digital society and to be successful, you must understand its platforms and tools. Everything you are familiar with, FaceBook to Credit Cards to Google is all different. Wechat, AliPay and BaiDu will be your new platforms. You will learn how the digital world of China functions, the massive size of a BILLION active users and how you can access these platforms for your benefit.

Here is an opportunity to introduce yourself and meet others over lunch and discuss how we can all work together for Armenia to be successful in China.
Tourism 13:30 – 14:00
The main question is – How to unlock Armenian touristic potential in China? Learn how the Chinese are becoming the largest tourist group in the world. You will learn who to attract in China and how to market to them? Promoting affordable flights from Chinese cities to Moscow and Tbilisi in China to get more to visit Armenia. Most important, we will discuss how to create digital apps and WeChat to attract the Chinese to visit and spend money in Armenia.
Selling to China 14:00 – 15:00
Getting into the details of how to sell and market to the Chinese. You need to be clear that China is a communist country and as such has rules and business practices different then you may expect. You will learn the rules of registering your website, finding partners and even opening a branch in China. The Digital Silk Road Center will be proposing the concept of forming a company in China that will represent small businesses of Armenia to promote and sell products such as wine & brandy, mobile apps, carpets, and other products produced in Armenia.
Creating a Top 10 Task List for 2022 15:00 – 15:30
Our goal of the roundtable is to create a Top 10 list that we can all work on to accomplish in 2022 to achieve the goal of how to be successful in the Chinese market from Armenia.
